When is the Diablo: Unbound release date?

There is no release date yet. Glass Cannon Unplugged (GCU) says the full Gamefound campaign is planned for Q1 2027, and a staff comment on the Gamefound page adds that the final date may change. That date is when the campaign opens, not when boxes arrive. A delivery date, a price and any retail date have not been announced.

What has a date and what does not?

Only the campaign window has a date, and even that one is a quarter, not a day. Everything after the campaign opens is unannounced.

“Not announced” here means we read the publisher’s game page, its blog post and the Gamefound page on 22 October 2026 and none of them gives the figure. It does not mean the figure is secret or late. A date that appears in a forum thread or a store listing without a link to one of those pages stays out of this tracker.

What is happening before the campaign?

The pre-launch page went live on Gamefound on 21 October 2026. GCU says it starts several months of reveals before the full campaign launches. You can follow the campaign there. If you later back any physical pledge you get the Treasure Goblin Expansion, a Gamefound-exclusive Follower Gift that GCU says will keep growing during the pre-launch phase.

The publisher also runs a Discord with community contests. GCU’s game page says one of them offers a promo Barbarian miniature as a prize.

SPIEL Essen runs from 22 to 25 October 2026. GCU says it has four demo tables for the whole event in Hall 1, booth C611, under the name “Gates of Sanctuary”. If you cannot go, the how to play guide lists the other ways to try the game early.

Where does each date come from?

The announcement itself is dated 21 October 2026 on GCU’s blog, and the Gamefound pre-launch page went live the same day. Polygon, GameSpot and GamesRadar+ all covered the reveal, and GameSpot describes the game as entering the Gamefound crowdfunding platform in Q1 2027. The Essen dates come straight from GCU’s blog, which lists the booth and the four demo tables.

The Q1 2027 window is the one that matters most and the one with the loosest wording. A GCU staff reply on Gamefound says the campaign is scheduled for that quarter but that the final date may change. That is why the tracker says “planned” and shows the row as confirmed for the quarter only. We do not infer a month from it. Delivery follows the campaign, and no one has given a date for that either.

How do we handle date changes?

Dates move. When GCU changes one, this page will show the old and new value with the day we saw it and mark the row changed, rather than quietly overwriting it. The “last verified” date at the top of the page tells you the last time we read the official sources.
