What is the Treasure Goblin Expansion?
The Treasure Goblin Expansion is a Gamefound-exclusive Follower Gift for Diablo: Unbound. Glass Cannon Unplugged (GCU) describes it as an expansion inspired by one of the Diablo series’ most recognisable creatures, and says it enhances the core game with that creature. It is a reward for following the campaign early, not a separate product you can buy on its own.
How do you get the Treasure Goblin Expansion?
GCU states two conditions. First, follow the campaign on the Gamefound pre-launch page now. Second, back any physical pledge once the campaign launches, which is planned for Q1 2027. Both are required, so following alone does not deliver the gift.

The wording is “any physical pledge”. GCU does not say whether a digital-only pledge would count, and it has not published pledge tiers, so we cannot tell you which tier is cheapest. When the campaign opens we will list the qualifying tiers on the price and editions page.
What is in the Treasure Goblin Expansion?
The full contents are not announced. What GCU does say is that the gift will keep growing throughout the pre-launch phase, with new content added over the coming months. So the version on offer today is not the final one.
One outlet gives more detail. Planszowe Newsy, a Polish board game site, reports that it is a separate module with a miniature, encounter rules and loot cards, and that when the Goblin is drawn from the loot bag, players can attack it to take its treasures. GCU has not published that list, so we mark it as reported.

Is the Treasure Goblin already in the base game?
In a sense, yes. GCU’s announcement lists hunting Treasure Goblins as one of the ways to get loot in the main game, next to chests, side quests, Kill Streaks and Elite monsters. It also describes the expansion as something that enhances the core game with the creature. How those two fit together is not explained, so we avoid guessing whether the expansion adds new Goblin encounters or changes the existing ones.

What has not been announced?
Three things matter and none has been given: the full contents of the gift, a deadline for following, and the pledge tiers that qualify. We will update this page and mark the row changed if any of them moves. For the wider schedule, see the release tracker, and for how loot works in the main game, the how to play guide.
Remember that Gamefound is the only platform for this gift. If you are weighing it against another Diablo project from the same publisher, the Gamefound vs Kickstarter page explains which is which.
